Success in various ways

Erika here. Hello!

Who hasn't heard of King Solomon? The first time I was told the story about Solomon being a wise and just King, was at an age of 5 1/2 years and I can still remember how I visualized and listened to this character and events pertaining to his rule. The thing that horrified me was that someone actually suggested that they cut a child in half in order to prove a point. My favourite on the other hand was David, because he struck me to be the greater man. Here was a dreamer, a poet, with that touch of the mystic and yet he could have been a saint. His enthusiasm, his wholehearted faith expressed in the psalms certainly pointed to this evaluation of mine. The man who was know as "the sweet psalmist of Israel". No doubt his military achievements became the measure of Israel's temporal greatness but I'd like to think that his name eventually stood for the type of human instrument God would use for making a better world.
